Where the employee has no transportation available, such
transportation shall be supplied by the Employer and it will be first class
transportation, in which event no travel allowance will be payable.
Travel allowance will be paid at the following rates:
May 1, 2013:
sixty cents ($0.60) per kilometre;
May 1, 2014:
sixty cents ($0.60) per kilometre;
May 1, 2015:
sixty cents ($0.60) per kilometre.
8.03 Travel Time Allowance
Time spent to and from the job will be paid at regular hourly rates
up to a maximum of eight (8) hours per day in any one (1) day. Travel time
will be calculated at an average of eighty (80) road kilometres per hour.
Travel time shall be paid once at the beginning of the job and once at the
termination of the job or termination of the worker's employment. Travel
Time Allowance shall be paid according to the above provisions
regardless if the Employer supplies the transportation or not.
8.04 Wrap Around
Each employee on a project shall be paid his travelling allowance
to and from the job site every forty (40) calendar days. This shall be paid
whether or not the employee actually returns to his place of residence.
8.05 Lodging
On work at a construction site, all employees, except those who
have resided within a distance of eighty (80) road kilometres of the
project, immediately prior to the start of the project, shall receive suitable
lodging acceptable to the Employer and the employee without cost to the
employee, on a seven (7) day basis for each day the employee is available
for work at the construction project.
